The Haunting of Bly Manor is the second season installment to The Haunting of Hill House, a 2018 Netflix original horror series that alternated between two timelines, following five siblings and their paranormal experiences from childhood to adulthood. With the great success of the programming comes another haunting tale, and hopefully some gruesome horror collectibles to fill our keepsake shelves of creep-tastic memorabilia. So, while a lot of things in life are uncertain at the moment, you can always look forward to the airing of a whole new part to the fang-tastic series.

What is the current release date for the season?

While it’s set to be released in full on Netflix this October, the official announcement is yet to be made and may even be postponed due to the ongoing effects that COVID-19 has had on the TV and film industry.

What are some updates that we do have?

For those that watched the first season, we’re sad to say that the second season will not be focusing on the Crain family, but instead a brand-new story and another haunted house. The installment instead, will fixate on The Haunting of Bly Manor, although many forums and diehard fans believe that some of the aftermaths of the first season will be intertwined with the latest one to come.

While little is known about the plot sequence of the series, we do know that it will bring out some of the “ghost stories of Henry James”, an American-British author who actively bridged the gap between realism and modernism in writing. Director, Mike Flanagan, also hinted that while the new season will touch on an entirely new storyline, it will exhibit some of the same frameworks of its predecessor, while expanding on elements from the first season such as “hauntings” and “tragic incidents”. He also said that the series will feature “an old-school approach when it comes to haunting Bly Manor with ghosts, the same way he haunted Hill House”.

Will the cast remain the same?

The Haunting of Bly Manor will see new faces portraying some lead roles, T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kolhi, and Ameilia Eve as well as some known faces that have previously appeared on season one, Benjamin Ainsworth, Amelie Smith, Catherine Parker, Kate Siegel, and Henry Thomas.

So, whether you’ve been looking to grab hold of some horror collectibles to add to your home decor or you simply love all things horror, we’re excited to hear about what other shows you’re anticipating?
