While true horror fans will sprinkle some grim films throughout the year, many cram their favorite creep-tastic classics into the span of a few weeks leading up to Halloween. That said, if you’re the type of person who dedicates your life to the genre, October is likely the month where you feel most inspired to see movies on the big screen, especially when many of those flicks are full of blood and gore. Here’s to the unofficial start of the spooky season and to the many movies premiering!

Witch Hunt: October 1, 2021

If you’re in the mood to view something dark and supernatural this evening, then why not watch Witch Hunt on the big screen? This horror movie is the latest addition to the genre and takes place in modern-day America. Witches are real, witchcraft is illegal, and a teenage girl, along with two other young necromancers must learn to face societal prejudices as they navigate law enforcement to cross the border and seek asylum in Mexico.

While this film hasn’t quite made the cut to allow for any horror movie memorabilia, we do possess a stockpile of witch-related merchandise that might spur your dark desires.

The Amityville Moon: October 5, 2021

In a few short days, the next big horror movie of the month will have its time on the big screen, and this one is a film conjoining to the already popular Amityville franchise. The Amityville Moon tells the story of two girls who’re trying to escape a church that’s holding them captive, leading to the vicious slaughter of one to a semi-human werewolf. The town’s detective tracks down the second girl to a seedy biker bar where she unveils that women inmates are disappearing every full moon. Now the two team up to uncover the evil that dwells within the sacred church.

Get psyched for this up-and-comer with some new Amityville horror movie memorabilia!

Halloween Kills: October 15, 2021

This modern Michael Myers trilogy is finally ready to release installment number two after last year’s COVID delays. Those who saw Halloween (2018) learned new details about the backstory of Michael Myers and also saw Laurie Strode grow up to have a daughter and granddaughter of her own. SPOILER ALERT. If you thought Michael burning in a cage would kill him, you thought wrong. The new film begins with Laurie in the hospital recovering from her fatal injuries and Michael commencing his bloodbath ritual once again. Laurie’s fight inspires a wave of violence amongst the townspeople of Haddonfield as they rise up and hunt down her malicious brother.

This anticipated flick is bound to fill box office seats and we will soon possess new horror movie memorabilia to encompass it!

Jeepers Creepers Reborn: October 28, 2021

Although the second and third installments to this growing franchise were a small disappointment to horror fans, Jeepers Creepers Reborn promises to bring new life to the spooky timeline. Coinciding with the Horror Hound Festival in Louisiana, which attracts hundreds of die-hard horror fans, the movie’s plot follows fanboy Chase and his girlfriend Laine, as they experience supernatural premonitions days leading up to the event. They realize that these disturbing visions are associated with the town’s dark past about an urban legend known as, The Creeper. The arrival of the festival is marked with a blood-soaked frenzy when his unearthly presence is summoned.
