The upcoming horror installment covers one of the most spine-chilling cases from the Ed and Lorraine files, where once again, a story of terror, murder, and unknown evil overtakes the premise of the film. So, you better grip The Conjuring horror collectibles in your possession as you anticipate the months left until this bloodcurdling addition to the franchise. Nevertheless, here’s what we know so far.

What is the air date for, The Conjuring 3?

The American horror film The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It (or simply The Conjuring 3), will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema and is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 11, 2020, after the production began for the supernatural installment this past June.

What do we know about the film’s plot?

The two previous films of the franchise were directed by Malaysian-born Australian director and producer, James Wan, however, the latest flick was handed off to Michael Chaves, the director of The Conjuring Universe’s past installment, The Curse of La Llorona

Patrick Wilson (Ed Warren) and Vera Farmiga (Lorraine Warren) will be returning to the big screen in what Wilson teases as a storyline that’s an entirely “different beast” among the franchise. “It’s a different feeling…we are pushing our characters to places they haven’t gone, but the film will be a really nice addition because it’s definitely a different beast… It’s got great producers, and honestly, a super happy and supportive studio. So it’s a lot of positivity even though you’re dealing with a lot of negative demons. I can’t wait.”

The most exciting spoiler we have learned about the narrative is that the film will revolve around a man on trial for murder, claiming that he’s innocent because he was possessed by a demon. “I think it’s the first time in America’s history where the defendant used possessions as a reason… as an excuse,” said Wan.

Initial Release Date: September 10, 2020 (Slovakia) (According to Google Knowledge Graph)
